Through our innovative Community Hub Model, Distinctive Schools reimagines each campus as the heart of its neighborhood, integrating student supports, expanding enrichment opportunities, and strengthening family partnerships. By providing before and after school programming, health and wellness resources, and culturally relevant, engaging learning experiences, Distinctive Schools advances whole-child, whole-family success and ensures that schools are welcoming places of learning and vibrant centers for community connection. Our approach is driven by our Community School Coordinators (CSCs) who build partnerships and cultivate deep relationships with families and local organizations, all in service of student outcomes. 

We strive to understand and support fundamental needs—from providing essential supplies and resources to offering adult ESL classes, and creating safe, engaging spaces outside of traditional school hours—our schools are able to provide comprehensive support. Our goal is to ensure that every learner is supported, that students cultivate greater agency by having their voices heard, and that family needs are met.
