

Kory Kliebert , Principal
Mr. Kliebert has been a dedicated member of the CICS Bucktown community since 2011. He began his journey as a Physical Education teacher and the school’s Athletic Director, where he fostered a love for sports and teamwork among students. Over the years, his leadership and commitment to student success led him to take on the role of Dean of Students, and later, Assistant Principal of Culture & Operations.
Now, as Principal, Mr. Kliebert continues to make a lasting impact on the school’s culture and operations, leading with a vision to ensure every student thrives in a supportive and inspiring environment. Mr. Kliebert is focused on learner agency and student leadership through active exploration. He believes that students should be in the driver’s seat of their education, with teachers providing the roadmap, guidance, and tools. He believes this approach helps students take charge of their learning journeys, preparing them for future challenges.
What’s Next for CICS Bucktown? Mr. Kliebert is excited about the future of CICS Bucktown; his vision combines strong academic growth with increased student voice in school culture, to ensure that CICS Bucktown becomes one of the top schools in Chicago. Mr. Kliebert holds the team to high expectations while ensuring that students receive the support they need to reach their full potential. Above all, Mr. Kliebert is driven by his daily interactions with students, whose smiles remind him of the rewards of his work.

Lindsay Garcia, Assistant Principal
Ms. Garcia’s strong and approachable leadership is deeply valued by both students and staff. Known for building meaningful relationships, Ms. Garcia consistently offers support and a listening ear, and demonstrates deep dedication to the CICS Bucktown community. Ms. Garcia is a trusted thought partner and colleague, always prioritizing the best interests of the students and the community, while also bringing friendship and laughter to those around her.
